How to apply for a child's place at our holiday playschemes?
Please make contact by having a conversation with us to determine if we can meet your child's play needs and that our provision is adequate and accessible for them.
From this discussion and if deemed appropriate we can then send out to you a personal children's information profile which must be completed in full and asks for certain details including: likes & dislikes , personal care issues, medication needs, ways of communication, challenging behaviour and consent forms. If assistance is required to fill out the form, let us know and then we can help. Finally, have these details returned to the office address.
It is essential that Parents/Carers keep SNAP Herts Ltd updated with any significant changes to their child's profile (for example: regular contact telephone numbers so you are available at any time whilst your child attends a scheme) or through filling out our own annual mail out,
Approximately four to six weeks prior to a playscheme, you will receive information about dates and venues from where we will run. Paperwork will consist of an allocation form which needs to be returned as soon as possible.
Following this and us establishing where we can most reasonably accomodate child places, a confirmation letter will be sent out with dates that have been allocated to your child. A consent form will be enclosed, which needs to be returned to SNAP Herts Ltd at your earliest convenience.
If your child is new to attending a playscheme we recommend that the parent/carer stays with them until both parties feel comfortable with the environment. And that gives the play leader a chance to talk to the parent/carer in more depth and ensure that we are able to meet the needs of their child.
